PrEP15-19 Project

The PrEP 1519 Project is the first initiative in Brazil focused on HIV Pre-Exposure Prophylaxis (PrEP) for adolescents, with activities in Belo Horizonte, Salvador, and São Paulo. The initiative promotes sexual health education and combined prevention, including PrEP, support, and multidisciplinary care, aiming to reduce the social vulnerability of LGBT youth. Developed by researchers from USP, UFBA, UNEB, and UFMG, the project seeks to generate knowledge to inform public policies in the fight against HIV/AIDS. Funded by UNITAID, it has support from the Ministry of Health, SUS, and Fiocruz.
